Why did Shehryar Munawar touch Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s feet?

Karachi: Pakistan showbiz industry actor Shehryar Munawar explained the reason behind touching Indian actor Nawazuddin’s feet during a Filmfare award in the past.

Recently, producer, writer, and actor Shahryar Munawar participated in Express Entertainment’s program ‘The Talk Talk Show’ where he answered interesting questions from the host Hasan Chaudhry.

Regarding his viral video of touching Indian actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s feet at the Filmfare Awards ceremony. Shehryar Mansoor said that he is a Sindhi and touching his feet is one of the 1000-year-old traditions.

Shehryar Munawar added, ‘Whatever happened at Filmfare was my personal moment and the leaking of the video was quite unfair. It’s sad that people like to invade your personal moments or your privacy.

Explaining the reason for touching Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s feet, he said that we were not on stage, we were talking like friends, I was telling him that since I saw Gangs of Wasseypur, I have become your big fan. 

Shahryar said that Mahira Khan was also present with us, she jokingly asked me to touch the feet of my favorite actor and I did so.

Shahryar Munawar said that a make-up artist cut out all the talk and posted only that part which went viral.

The actor said that we were having a relaxed conversation and that even if I touch Nawazuddin’s feet, I don’t feel ashamed because I am a Sindhi and this is a very old Sindhi tradition we follow.
