The most popular social media app Tik Tok has deleted more than 10 million videos from October to December 2022 except for Pakistani users. It should be noted that millions of videos are uploaded on Tik Tok every day, the content of which is checked under the rules of community guidelines. The company said in a report that it will take action against videos that violate the Community Guidelines between October and December 2022.
According to Virt, TikTok removed more than 85.6 million 80 thousand videos from the platform worldwide between October and December 2022 for violating community guidelines. This number is equal to 0.6 percent of the total videos posted on TikTok during this period. More than 12.6 million 28 thousand videos were deleted in Pakistan during this period.
Along with deleting content that violates community guidelines, accounts deemed spam and videos posted by them were also deleted, the company said. In Pakistan during the October to December 2022 quarter, 89.7 percent of videos were deleted before being viewed by a user.

During this period, more than 178,770,000 accounts were deleted from the platform globally, whose creators were suspected to be under 13 years of age. According to the company, more than 54.4 million videos that were linked to fake accounts were also deleted.
TikTok said the social media platform’s policies apply equally to everyone and all types of content are scrutinized.
