It may be recalled that Wahab Riaz was named Sports Minister in the caretaker government of Punjab earlier this year.
He had requested the provincial government to allow him to play in the recently concluded Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight, which resulted in the postponement of Riyadh’s swearing-in ceremony.
After PSL 8, the cricketer took charge of the game as a consultant.
