Lahore: On one side, the target of admitting 580,000 out-of-school children in schools across Punjab has been set. But on the other hand, thousands of schools lack furniture to accommodate children. School Incharges demanded to provide new benches first.
According to the details, a target of 74 thousand additional children has been given in Lahore. School heads have demanded that schools with more than one thousand students should be provided with more furniture.
The school heads say that 20% of the furniture in the schools is already damaged, and if additional enrollment is to be done, new furniture must be provided.

On the other hand, the education department says that additional furniture will be provided to the schools that meet the enrollment target. Also, instructions have been already issued to the education authorities to provide additional furniture.
