The incident took place in Inayat Kallay Bazaar, where the victim, identified as Maz Khan, 25, was shopping with his friend Hanifullah. The assailants reportedly used automatic rifles in the attack, leaving both men critically injured. Despite being rushed to District Headquarters Hospital, Khar, Maz Khan succumbed to his injuries.

Police officials visited the crime scene to collect evidence but the attackers had already fled the scene. The motive behind the killing is unknown, and a search operation is underway to trace the attackers. Mufti Bashir Ahmad, the father of Maz Khan, was also shot dead by unidentified motorcyclists in his native Mamond tehsil on April 26 last year, and his son’s body was later taken to his native Sewai village for burial.
