During an Iftar dinner organized by the local chapter of Jamaat-i-Islami in Lower Dir, party chief Sirajul Haq called on the Election Commission of Pakistan, establishment, and Supreme Court of Pakistan to remain impartial and ensure transparent and fair general elections on the same day.
He was joined by hundreds of JI workers at the event, which also featured speeches by JI district chief Izazul Mulk Afkari, tehsil chief Advocate Imranud Din, and Maulana Hidayatullah.
Sirajul Haq expressed concern that the country was facing severe political, economic, and constitutional crises, and that national institutions like parliament, the apex court, the establishment, and ECP had lost public confidence.
According to the JI chief, separate elections in provinces and at the center are not a solution to the current crises, and he demanded that the elections should be conducted on the same day. Sirajul Haq expressed concern that the country is facing polarisation and negative politics, and called for political leaders to come to the negotiating table.

He expressed optimism about the talks between the Pakistan Democratic Movement and Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf, as he believed that both parties had realized the severity of the current situation and that consensus was the only way out. Additionally, Sirajul Haq noted that the historic price hike and devaluation of Pakistani currency had negatively impacted the people.
