In the final of the Legends League in Qatar, Shahid Afridi’s Asia Eleven defeated the World Giants by 7 wickets and won the title.
At Doha Cricket Ground, the World Giants batted first and scored 147 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 20 overs, while Jack Kells remained unbeaten by scoring 78 runs.
Among the other players, Lindel Simmons scored 17 runs, captain Shane Watson and Maureen van Wyk scored zero and Russ Taylor scored 32 runs.
Abdul Razzaq and Thisara Perera took one wicket for Asia Lions.

During target chasing, Opal Tharanga and Dilshan gave Asia Lions a start of 115 runs, the two openers were dismissed with 57 and 58 runs respectively, Tharanga and Dilshan hit 13 fours and 3 sixes during the opening stand.
For the reigning world giants, Brett Lee and Samit Patel took only one wicket each.
It should be noted that Shahid Afridi’s Asia Eleven played 6 matches in the tournament including the final. Out of which they lost 2 matches and won the other 4.
