ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema Islam (JUI) Senator Talha Mehmood has been appointed as Federal Minister for Religious Affairs.
The Cabinet Division has issued a notification for the appointment of Senator Talha Mahmood as Federal Minister.
Senator Talha Mehmood has been given additional responsibilities of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, previously he was also performing the duties of Wazir Safran.

After the death of Mufti Abdul Shakoor, the portfolio of the ministry has been given to Senator Talha Mehmood.
It should be noted that two days ago Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Mufti Abdul Shakoor died in a traffic accident in Islamabad.
