In a recent interview with an American broadcaster, the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Prime Minister, Imran Khan, expressed his willingness to appear in court.
However, he cited security concerns as the reason for his non-appearance. During the interview, the host raised the issue of Imran Khan being accused of evading trial and shared that the police had even attempted to arrest him, but he went with them. The host questioned Imran Khan about his stance on the matter and his thought on not appearing in court.
In response to this, Imran Khan said that the first thing is that I have a security bond till March 18, so it is illegal for them to come for arrest before that. These people are scared of our big rally in Lahore. This may be part of a larger plan to prevent me from contesting elections or imprisoning and disqualifying me.

Chairman PTI said there had been an assassination attempt on me, and those who tried to attack me are currently in power. All opinion polls show that they fear my party will win with a huge majority. Will go, and they are in danger that after coming to power, I will hold them responsible, so my life is in danger.
Imran Khan, explaining the reason for not appearing in court, said his life was in danger. My lawyers argue that I want to appear in court, but my security should be guaranteed. I went to court twice. There was no security at all. If the court wants, the hearing could be done via video conference.
On the question of trust in the judiciary after the arrest, Imran Khan said that the only hope at that time was the judiciary of Pakistan. Besides, if you look at today’s Pakistan, it is the law of the jungle.
