According to a recent alert issued by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) in Punjab, potential security threats are looming over the upcoming Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf rally at Minar Pakistan.
The Anti-Terrorism Force has also issued a threat alert expressing concern over a possible attack during the rally. The alert further stated that Mukram Khorasani, a central leader of Tehreek-e-Taliban, has devised a plan to carry out an act of terrorism during the rally and may target the gathering.
The TTD said in the post that Makram Khorasani has formulated the plan after consulting with the terrorist Abdul Wali Khan. The terrorists have planned an attack with 25 suicide bombers. Abdul Wali Khan has done several blasts in Lahore city in the past.

The alert also warns that law enforcement agencies and critical installations could be targeted by terrorists. Therefore, all law enforcement agencies have been asked to tighten their security arrangements. It should be noted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is scheduled to hold a rally in Minar Pakistan after the Taraweeh prayer tonight, and all preparations for the event have been completed.
