ISLAMABAD: Lahore Qalandars wicket-keeper-batter Sam Billings has set his sights on helping the team retain the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season eight championship.
In an interview with Geo News in Islamabad, the 31-year-old English cricketer stated that he has no individual goals and that his sole ambition in Pakistan is to win the title with Lahore Qalandars.
“To win the PSL with Lahore Qalandars,” he said when asked about his personal aims for PSL 2023.

“I don’t set a lot of personal objectives. The team wins, and I give my all to the team. “The essential thing is that,” he continued.
The English cricketer also commended Lahore Qalandars captain Shaheen Shah Afridi’s managerial skills.
“I was amazed by how rapidly he picked up the game. He’s got a lot on his plate, especially for a young leader and bowler, but how he’s coping with it is impressive. He’s a cool, calm, and collected character. And he enjoys a good challenge. “It’s wonderful, the talents that he’s demonstrated throughout this tournament, and maybe he can lead us to another title,” Billings said of Shaheen.
Billings had already coached Islamabad United in the first and second seasons of the PSL; this time, he is Lahore’s coach and participating in Pakistan for the first time.
