In a recent interview, retired Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa described the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, as a clever man skilled at deceiving people.
According to journalist Shahid Maitla’s report, when asked about the person responsible for breaking into Maryam Nawaz’s room in Karachi, General Bajwa identified Brigadier Habib as the sector commander at the time.
He also stated that General Faiz had ordered a case to be filed, but an incident occurred at a lower level, resulting in the removal of the responsible officer.

Regarding the allegations of revealing information about Azam Swati and Shahbaz Gul, General (Rtd) Bajwa denied any involvement, stating that such incidents may occur due to agencies trying to be more loyal to the Shah than the Shah himself.
He also mentioned that such actions usually occur at a lower level. In response to another question, he stated that he had only met Sheikh Rashid twice in his lifetime.
Sheikh Rashid had appealed to General Bajwa, stating that the government was not functioning well under Imran Khan’s leadership and requested him to take action.
