ISLAMABAD: The chiefs of intelligence agencies met with the Chief Justice and other judges on the issue of providing security for the May 14 elections in Punjab.
According to sources, the DG of Military Operations and the Defense Secretary were also present in the meeting between the Chief Justice of Pakistan and other judges and heads of intelligence agencies.

Sources say that the meeting held yesterday in the chamber of the Chief Justice continued for more than 3 hours, in which Justice Ijazul Ahsan and Justice Muneeb Akhtar were also present the chamber of the Chief Justice, while the security situation in the country was informed in this meeting.
It should be noted that the Supreme Court has ordered the Election Commission to submit a report on the provision of security for the elections in Punjab.
A 3-member bench headed by the Chief Justice ordered provincial elections in Punjab on May 14 and the court also ordered the State Bank to release funds directly to the Election Commission, but the National Assembly once again denied the Election Commission. The release of funds has been rejected.
