Progesterone injections to pregnant women are banned

Progesterone injections for pregnant women were banned.

In the 327th meeting of the Registration Board of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan, it was decided to ban this injection.

The ban was decided due to the presence of carcinogenic elements in progesterone injections.

Earlier, the US Food and Drug Administration banned progesterone injections after identifying the presence of cancer-causing ingredients.
