Since Imran Khan’s arrest warrant was issued, a team of Islamabad Police has been at the site of Zaman Park since yesterday. They are facing difficult opposition from PTI supporters.
Even after hours, the Islamabad police couldn’t arrest Imran Khan from Zaman Park. A massive contingent of police has also come from Sheikhupura.
The officers have surrounded Zaman Park from three sides. They encountered the PTI workers on the Dharmpura, Sundardas Road road. Workers outfitted them with tires and engaged in a riot throughout the night. The police used water cannons and fire tear gas, and approximately half of the police sustained injuries.

A police car equipped with armour entered Zaman Park in Dharampura, the road from Mall Road to Zaman Park had been obstructed by large containers. When the police outside Zaman Park attempted to make an arrest, the PTI workers hurled rocks, launched cannons, threw sticks and shouted slogans here.
Thirty-three police officers, including DIG Islamabad Shahzad Bukhari and 34 people, including a civilian, were injured due to stone pelting by PTI workers.
The protesters also burnt the police water cannon, damaged the police vehicle, and burnt the motorcycles of the traffic wardens.
When the fire tender of Rescue 1122 reached to extinguish the fire, the workers also set it on fire.
PTI workers also ransacked the mall road, broke the fancy lights and security lights installed for PSL, uprooted the forests, broke the tuff tiles on the footpath and threw stones at the police.
The police also retaliated by lathi-charging and washing the workers with water cannons. More than 15 PTI workers were arrested.

In a video interview released around 4:30 in the morning, Imran Khan directed the workers of Zaman Park to reach the venue and address his noon statement. He ignored the dare. The police had no reason for acting on the statement. There was a deal between the British and the Pakistanis in London that Imran was to be remanded in custody.

Imran Khan said in an interview with British Broadcasting Corporation that he is ready to go to jail. I don’t know what will happen in prison, but I am ready. It will not harm me or my politics.The spokesperson says that after injuring more than 100 youths and officers, now fake news of firing is being circulated.
Another British TV interview said that I am sure I will be arrested this time. The government aims to get me out of the way before the election.
IG Punjab’s Dr Usman Anwar has announced that the operation is not taking place in Zaman Park, the court’s order is being executed, stones were thrown at the police, petrol bombs were hit, police vehicles were set on fire, the DIG was also injured, the police have been unarmed, but stones are being pelted, it is being removed to ensure the court date and arrests will be made, and prose.

Commissioner Lahore announced the closure of schools and colleges in different city areas today.
Schools and colleges in Mall Road, Dharmapura, Jail Road, and Garhi Shahu will be closed today. Commissioner Lahore says that schools and colleges in Mughalpura and Mian Mir will also be closed today.
