Karachi: Peshawar Zalmi defeated Karachi Kings by 2 runs in Pakistan Super League 8.
On Tuesday, at National Stadium Karachi, the second match of PSL 8 was played between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi.
Karachi Kings chased the target of 200 runs and managed to score 197 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Karachi Kings captain Imad Wasim remained unbeaten with 80 runs while Shoaib Malik was dismissed with 52 runs. Wicketkeeper-batsman Matthew Wade was out after making 23 runs.
Peshawar Zalmi scored 199 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the 20 overs while playing first on the invitation of Karachi Kings. For Peshawar Zalmi, Wahab Riaz took 2 and Jimmy Nesham took 2 wickets while Salman Irshad got 1 wicket.
On behalf of Peshawar Zalmi, Tom Kolhar Cadmore showcased aggressive batting and scored 92 runs. Captain Babar Azam was out after making 68 runs.
Others including Mir Hamza, Andrew Tye, Imran Tahir, and Ben Cutting took 1, 1 wicket for Karachi Kings.
