The teachers union at Peshawar University has announced the end of the 43-day strike.
According to President Peshawar University Teachers Association, Dr. Uzair presented his demands in a meeting with the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Commissioner, the Department of Higher Education, and other relevant officials were also present in the meeting.
According to Dr. Uzair, the governor, chief secretary and the officials of the higher education department have assured that the demands will be fulfilled, on which they announce the end of the strike.

The president of the Peshawar University Teachers Association says that the university administration will call a meeting of the syndicate regarding the demands of the teachers, a judicial inquiry will be conducted in the case of the murder of the security supervisor of the university, the problems of the university will be resolved in the meeting of the syndicate and the senate, the governor assured.
He assured that an inquiry will be made against the vice chancellor after the inquiry action will be taken against the vice-chancellor.
According to the university administration, academic activities and administrative affairs were suspended in Peshawar University for more than a month due to the teachers’ strike.
It should be noted that since the killing of the security supervisor by the teachers’ organization and other employees at Peshawar University, the strike was going on.
