Unofficial and inconclusive results of the repolling for all 59 seats of the local body elections across 15 districts in Sindh have been received.
The by-elections were held on Sunday in districts including Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Khairpur, Sukkur, Sanghar, Jacobabad, Kundhkot, Larkana and Badin from 8 am to 5 pm. However, the results are yet to be declared officially.
Unofficial and inconclusive results from the 59 repolled seats of the local body elections in 15 districts of Sindh are now available.
The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) reportedly won 39 seats, while the Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) secured 6 seats. The Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) won 2 seats, and the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) and Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) each won one seat.

The unofficial results also indicate that independent candidates won in 9 seats. The local body elections featured contests for Chairman, Vice Chairman, Member District Council, and General Member seats. The polls were postponed due to some constituencies’ allegations of rigging and violence.
During the by-elections in different areas of Sindh, a clash broke out between PPP and Tehreek-e-Insaf activists in Hyderabad. The incident occurred during polling on UC-18 in Hyderabad, where two groups of workers clashed, punching and kicking each other.
