PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi expressed his views on the government’s current situation and the upcoming elections during his media talk outside the Islamabad High Court.
He stated that while they are willing to discuss the elections, the government needs more sincerity. Qureshi emphasized that facts cannot be hidden by restricting the media, and there are concerns regarding the lack of resources for the election and PSL.
He added that appointments should be made on merit, not appearance, and expressed hope that the judiciary would protect the constitution. Qureshi concluded by stating that they stand with the Supreme Judiciary.

He stated that the government’s intention is disrupted, and there is no resource available for the upcoming election, Pakistan Super League (PSL), and the appointments of Imran Khan are based on appearance.

Qureshi hoped that the judiciary would protect the constitution and they stand with the Supreme Judiciary. Regarding the recent arrest of PTI workers in Punjab, Qureshi said that around 2,000 prisoners were detained, and the fear of the government has been diminished.
He added that he is not against negotiations, but the government’s intentions are unclear. Moreover, Qureshi mentioned that General (R) Bajwa refused to be interviewed, so he could not say anything. Lastly, he referred to Darke’s statement, which created a commotion.
