In an aggressive move against the current government, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Maryam Nawaz vowed to expose those she believes have supported Prime Minister Imran Khan in the judiciary. On Monday, she urged her party’s spokespeople to help her in her efforts to reveal the facilitators she claims are helping Khan.
Maryam Nawaz has long been a vocal critic of Imran Khan’s government and has accused him of using the judiciary to target his political opponents. In her latest statement, she promised to take her fight against what she considers political victimization to the next level
The PML-N leader, while addressing a gathering of party workers, stated that she would use all means possible to unmask the facilitators who have helped the current government in manipulating the judiciary. She also alleged that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had destroyed the country’s institutions.
“Imran Khan has become a story of the past and now it’s time to think about Pakistan’s future,” Maryam Nawaz said.
Furthermore, she accused the PTI government of using the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) as a tool to harass opposition politicians. Maryam Nawaz herself has been targeted by the NAB in multiple cases, and she claims that the government is using the anti-graft watchdog to silence its critics.

The PML-N leader’s remarks come as the opposition in Pakistan intensifies its efforts to launch a movement against the Imran Khan government. Recently, Maryam Nawaz’s father and former prime minister, Nawaz Sharif, launched a broadside against the establishment, blaming them for meddling in Pakistan’s politics.

Political analysts say that Maryam Nawaz’s move is a calculated one, as she is trying to rally her party and opposition forces against the government. They also believe that the PML-N leader’s decision to take on the judiciary is significant, as it could spark a new debate on the role of the judiciary in Pakistan’s political system.
Maryam Nawaz’s pledge to expose those she believes have supported Prime Minister Imran Khan in the judiciary shows that the opposition is not going to back down easily. With the PML-N leader’s latest move, the political temperature in Pakistan is set to rise even further. The government, for its part, will have to tread carefully as it navigates the challenges posed by a determined opposition.
