Karachi: Legendary actor in radio, theater, film, and TV, Muhammad Qavi Khan passed away at 80 in Canada.
Qavi Khan had been ill for a long time and was staying in Canada for treatment when he died. Mohammad Qavi Khan started singing on the radio early and showed his acting skills in theater, TV, and film.
However, the drama serial ‘Andhira Ajala’ aired on PTV Lahore gave him extraordinary fame in which he played the role of a police inspector.
Qavi Khan acted in more than 200 films, among which Mati Ke Patale, Society Girl, Sarfroosh and Begum Jaan, Tiger Gang, Sarfrosh, Wrong Number, and Pari are notable.
He was also honored with the Pride of Performance, Nigar Award, and Satara Imtiaz. This year, the government also nominated him for Pakistan’s biggest award “Nishan e Pakistan”.
