Former Prime Minister Imran Khan has petitioned the Islamabad High Court to halt the arrests in cases registered against him nationwide. The petition includes the Interior Secretary, Police IGs of the four provinces, Islamabad, and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Director as parties.

Furthermore, the petition claims that Imran Khan’s life is in danger after a murderous attack in Wazirabad, and he fears arrest on arrival in Islamabad for court proceedings. The petition also argues that the petitioner’s fundamental rights, including access to justice and a fair trial, are being violated.
Therefore, Imran Khan has requested the court to ask for details of the cases registered against him, make arrests subject to prior permission from the court, and provide records of patients registered throughout the country.
