Peshawar: The supply of wheat to flour mills in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been stopped under the free flour scheme.
The Deputy Director Food Department has written to the Food Controllers of all districts regarding stopping the supply of wheat to the flour mills under the free flour scheme.
In the letter, orders have been issued to immediately stop the release of wheat under the free flour scheme to the flour mills.
According to the food department, free government flour is being distributed continuously in the province, there are plenty of free government flour bags in all the districts.
The Food Department says that the supply to flour mills has been stopped to prevent wastage of wheat.
