The terrorist attack on the Karachi Police Office in Shahr-e-Quaid resulted in the martyrdom of four people, including Rangers and police officers. Among them was a suicide bomber who blasted himself by exploding his jacket.
According to armed officials, during the clearance operation, four brave persons sacrificed their lives for our safety, including police and Rangers personnel and a civilian who was a sweeper. Additionally, 19 people were injured, including 7 Rangers personnel and a volunteer from Edhi.
According to police sources, terrorists entered the Karachi police office around 7:30 pm and started firing indiscriminately. After the incident, the area was sealed, and Faisal Highway was closed to general traffic while the office’s electricity was also switched off.

After the terrorists entered the police office, heavy firing ensued, along with several hand grenade explosions. In response to the attack, the police officials quickly mobilized for defensive action, calling for reinforcements from other police stations and engaging the attackers on the front line.
The police personnel, commandos, Rangers, and Pakistan Army personnel used a coordinated strategy to end the occupation of terrorists from the building. During the two-way firefight, two terrorists were killed, while one was killed due to the explosion of his suicide jacket.

DIG East Muqadas Haider confirmed that the clearance operation was completed around 10 pm, during which a total of three terrorists were killed in the exchange of fire, one of whom blew himself up on the fourth floor.
Police and security forces showed bravery, Chief Minister Sindh:
Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah personally monitored the operation against the terrorists after the attack on the Karachi Police Office and was deeply moved by the bravery displayed by all the law enforcement agencies involved. He expressed his sincere appreciation for the courage and resilience of our brave jawans and officers for clearing the Police Office.
Tragically, two police personnel, a Ranger’s jawan and a civilian were martyred, and 14 Rangers and police personnel were injured in the clearance operation. The Chief Minister expressed his deepest sorrow and offered his prayers for the high status of the martyrs and the speedy recovery of the injured.
He said that the best medical facilities would be provided to those injured in the operation, while we would never leave the families of the martyrs alone. I am happy that the nation is united against terrorists.
Police and security forces showed bravery, Chief Minister Sindh:
After completing the clearance operation, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah, Sindh Inspector General of Police Ghulam Nabi Memon, and Sindh Government Spokesperson Barrister Murtaza Wahab visited the Karachi Police Office to personally thank and encourage the officers who fought bravely against the terrorists. Their presence at the office was a testament to their appreciation and respect for the officers’ courage and dedication.
Four dead bodies and 19 injured were shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
According to the Jinnah Hospital administration, four dead bodies and nineteen injured have been shifted to the hospital, including 9 Rangers personnel, DSP Special Security Unit Haji Razak personnel, and Edhi volunteer Sajid.
Tehreek-e-Taliban claimed responsibility:
According to the media wing, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has claimed responsibility for the attack on the Karachi police office.
