Karachi: 13-Years Old Servant Rafiq Tortured To Death by Bungalow Owner

According to police sources, 13-year-old Rafiq used to work with his two brothers in a bungalow in Gulshan Iqbal, Karachi. 

The deceased Rafiq was allegedly tortured by Shireen Asad who was the owner of the bungalow. She tortured him to an extent that young Rafiq died on the spot. Rafiq’s brothers were also allegedly tortured by the owner of the bungalow ‘’Shireen Asad’’.  

Razzaq and Rasheed, the brothers of the deceased Rafiq, have also recorded a statement to the police. According to Razzaq and Rasheed, we three brothers used to work in Shireen Asad’s house. There are also marks of violence on the children’s bodies.

Bungalow owner Shireen has been arrested after registering a case on the complaint of Rafiq’s father. Provisions of murder and torture have been added to the case. The deceased Rafiq has been buried in his native Tharparkar.

Due to negligence in the murder case, two officers were removed from their posts. Additional IG Karachi Javed Alam Odhu has suspended DSP Gulshan Iqbal Abu Talha and SHO Gulshan Iqbal for negligence and carelessness in the case of child murder.

SSP East Zubair Shaikh says that DSP and SHO had the responsibility to conduct a post-mortem after the body of the child and complete all the legal procedures and register the incident and arrest the woman, but the officers showed incompetence.
