In the incident of fire in 2 factories in the New Karachi Industrial Area, both the affected buildings collapsed, 4 rescue personnel were buried under the debris and died.
According to the police, there was a fire in 2 factories in the New Karachi Industrial Area yesterday, the buildings became weak due to the fire, and both the buildings collapsed during the continuous cooling between Wednesday and Thursday night.
One factory affected by the fire was of towels and other spare parts, 4 rescue personnel were killed and 13 people including 11 firefighters were injured in the incident.
According to the rescue officials, the bodies of the four rescue personnel have been removed from under the debris, and the dead persons have been identified as Mohsin, Afzal, Sohail, and Khalid Shehzad.
Deputy Commissioner Central Talha Saleem is also present at the scene.
On the other hand, Sindh Governor Kamran Tesori took notice of the factory collapse incident and contacted Administrator Karachi Dr. Saifur Rehman.
According to the spokesman, Governor Sindh directed to provide immediate medical aid to the injured.
