Former US ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad suggested holding elections in Pakistan in June.
The former US Special Envoy for Afghanistan has said in his Twitter message that Pakistan is currently facing three major crises such as political, economic, and security.
Zalmay Khalilzad said that the arrest of Imran Khan will make the ongoing political crisis in Pakistan more serious, putting political leaders in jails, hanging them, or killing them is a wrong approach.
Zalmay Khalilzad further said that in the current situation of Pakistan, I give 2 suggestions, the first of which is to announce elections at the national level in June to avoid disaster.

Zalmay Khalilzad said that the second suggestion is that at this time all political parties should meet together to identify the problems and decide the future course of action in order to save the country and move on the path of stability, security, and prosperity and whoever is successful in the election. If he gets the mandate of the people, he should be allowed to work.
