The Lahore High Court has granted the Chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, protective bail in two cases and has ordered the police not to arrest him until March 27.
The hearing, presided over by Justice Shehbaz Rizvi, consisted of a two-member bench that reviewed Imran Khan’s request for protective bail in both cases.
During the hearing, Imran Khan’s lawyer, Salman Safdar, informed the court that they had arrived at the court ahead of schedule and that the signature on the petition belonged to Imran Khan.
The court requested Imran Khan to sign the petition, affidavit, and attorney letter twice, which he complied with while in the courtroom.

During the hearing, Imran Khan’s lawyer, Salman Safdar, informed the court that the day before, the court had granted bail to Shah Mehmood and Azam Swati.
Safdar also mentioned that the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had applied for protective bail in two inquiries. The Lahore High Court granted protective bail to Imran Khan until March 27 in both the Golra police station and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) cases.
However, the court returned the applications for protective bail in the NAB inquiries and advised that the applications should be filed in the appropriate court.
