Pakistan Tehreek_e_ Insaaf Chief and former prime minister of Pakistan Imran Khan strongly condemned the arrest of former minister Shiekh Rasheed and the leader of Awami Muslim League.
Imran Khan took to Twitter to strongly condemn AML’s chief arrest. “Strongly condemn the Sheikh Rasheed has been arrested. Rarely in our history have we had such a corrupt, cruel Administrator government decision by a disproved ECP,” he said.

He further stated that the government must ensure that the rule of law is respected and that those responsible for Sheikh Rashid’s arrest are held accountable. Khan further called on the government to immediately release Sheikh Rashid and ensure his fundamental rights are respected.
He questions if the country can afford a street movement which the nation has been pushed towards when Pakistan is being bankrupted by its imported government. With the country facing an economic crisis, is this the right moment to push for a street movement? Will it be worth the cost when the country is in such a dire financial situation?
