Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif chaired a meeting regarding urea fertilizer production and electricity load shedding. In which a briefing was given regarding the production of urea fertilizer in the country, the supply of gas to the urea industry, and detailed information was also given regarding the production of electricity and expected demand in summer.
The Minister of Energy issued instructions to the Power Division to keep electricity load-shedding to a minimum during summer, while speeding up work on the restoration of the Neelum Jhelum project, keeping in view the production and consumption of urea by industries. A comprehensive plan for gas supply and buffer stocks should be presented.

The Prime Minister said that the timely production of urea in the country and its delivery to the farmers should be ensured, the government is taking all possible steps to reduce the cost per acre of the farmers.
