Scotland: For the first time in the political history of Great Britain, a political leader of Pakistani origin, Humza Yusuf, was elected the first Muslim head of Scotland.
Humza Yusuf was elected president of the Scottish National Party a day earlier after receiving a vote of confidence from Parliament and was then sworn in as the head of Scotland, becoming a first minister as well.

Humza Yusuf, who is from Pakistan, has also served as Minister of Justice and Transport in the Scottish Cabinet. The Scottish leader’s father is from Mian Channu.
