“Wahaj Ali, Durefishan Saleem, and Tooba Siddiqui Team Up for a Thrilling New Project”

The teaser of an upcoming drama starring Wahaj Ali, Durefishan Saleem, and Tooba Siddiqui has been released by Geo Entertainment and 7th Sky Entertainment. The drama was announced last year, and this is the first glimpse of what is to come.

The teaser commences with a woman inquiring, “Who is the actual culprit? Are they genuinely guilty, or is it just their portrayal?” Another woman follows, “In this world, we give utmost importance to the famous, leaving the innocent marked as the criminals.” The description highlights, “As the characters approach the truth, the reality grows darker.”

The drama has been penned by Shah Yasir and directed by Mehreen Jabbar. Jabbar previously directed the Indian streaming platform Zee5’s web series Ek Jhooti Love Story, making this her comeback to Pakistani TV.

Atiqa Odho, Mohammed Ehteshamuddin, Zhalay Sarhadi, and Tazeen Hussain will be playing significant roles in the drama.Jabbar and Siddiqui have previously worked together in Wapsi, Vasl, Dobara Phir Se, and Farar.

Ali’s on-screen chemistry with his co-stars, such as Hania Aamir in Mujhe Pyar Hua Tha and Yumna Zaidi in Tere Bin, has been praised by viewers. His camaraderie with the leading ladies in this drama is sure to be interesting for his fans.

Saleem’s last appearance was in the drama Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi. In an interview with BBC Asian Network, she mentioned that the drama put her on the radar, but she wouldn’t want to act in a similar genre or role again. “Dur-e-Fishan would not like to watch or even work in something like this again,” she said.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the role that Saleem will be playing in the drama, and are looking forward to seeing what kind of character she portrays. While the show was initially announced under the title Jurm, it remains unclear whether this is still the working title, as the current teasers have not included a title. The release date has also yet to be announced.
