The government has hiked gas prices by 16.6% to 124%. For domestic consumers who use up to 50 cubic meters of gas, the government has taken action to protect them from the 16.6% to 124% hike in gas prices.
For all domestic consumers using 100 cubic meters of gas, the cost has increased by 16.6%. This means that the price of 100 cubic meters of gas has been raised from Rs.300 to Rs.350 mmbtu.
On the other side, the price for domestic consumers using 200 cubic meters of gas has been increased by a whopping 32%, from Rs.553 to Rs.730 mmbtu.

Gas prices have been increased across all sectors, including domestic, commercial, power, fertilizer, cement industry, and CNG.
At the recent Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) meeting chaired by Pakistan’s Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, the decision to increase the price of natural gas was approved.
