Durefishan Saleem, a Pakistani actor, recently made an appearance on Nida Yasir’s Ramadan show and spoke about her first big crush on television. Like many of us, her first heartbreak was none other than the iconic singer-actor Atif Aslam. In the interview, Saleem revealed her fangirling story about the Hona Tha Pyar singer, recalling her first meeting with him when he was a newly married man.
When Nida Yasir asked Saleem about her first big crush, she didn’t hesitate even for a second and echoed Aslam’s name with a shine in her eyes. “I had a crush on Atif Aslam – a big, big crush. It was so big that I used to just listen to him and just talk about him. My sister still tells me that I never vocalized it but it was huge,” she said.
However, the crush soon turned into her first heartbreak. I remember meeting Aslam for the first time just two days after his wedding. “I just kept crying, you know, I couldn’t stop crying. How old was I back then? I was very young, probably in O levels. Atif was my first heartbreak and my biggest crush,” she quipped.
