During a hearing on a petition against the appointment of Raja Riaz as the opposition leader, the Lahore High Court has given the Election Commission a deadline of April 6 to submit its response.

The petitioner’s lawyer argued that Raja Riaz, who belongs to PTI, could not become the leader of the opposition and asked the court to declare his appointment unconstitutional and void. Justice Shahid Karim heard the case and stated that the court could issue constitutional orders.
