Bureau of Statistics is not satisfied with the statistics itself, the date of census is expected to be extended

Islamabad: The Federal Bureau of Statistics is not satisfied with the census data in different districts of the country.

According to the officials of the Statistical Institute, the date of the ongoing census is expected to be extended in the country, and the extension of the date of the census will be announced after Eid.

Officials say that the decision to extend the date of the census could not be made because of Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal’s Umrah payment to Saudi Arabia.

On the other hand, the Bureau of Statistics has issued a notification to stop the field operation of the census for 5 days across the country.

According to the notification, the census field operation has been closed due to the Eid holidays, census field operation will be closed from April 21 to 25, census field operation will be started after the Eid holidays.
