British boxer of Pakistani descent, Amir Khan, has been handed a two-year ban for using banned substances.
The British Anti-Doping organization released a statement stating that Amir Khan’s urine sample taken in February 2022, during his match against Kell Brook, tested positive for the prohibited drug Ostarin.
However, it’s worth noting that Amir Khan lost that match.
Amir Khan, of Pakistani descent Boxer, who has a Pakistani heritage and is a British national, has been banned for two years due to the use of the prohibited drug Ostarine.
This drug is known to be used by athletes to enhance their strength and is included in the World Anti-Doping Agency’s list of banned substances.

The boxer admitted that drug use was unintentional, and an independent tribunal was appointed to investigate the matter. While a temporary ban was already imposed on April 6, 2022, the recent decision means that the ban will remain in effect until April 5, 2024.
Amir Khan, who won 34 out of 40 fights, announced his retirement from boxing following his defeat against Kell Brook.
