Islamabad: Election Commission lawyer and senior lawyer Irfan Qadir rejected the possibility of elections in Punjab as per the Supreme Court decision.
While talking to Shahzeb Khanzada on the GeoNews program Aaj, Irfan Qadir said that there is no question that according to the decision of the three-member bench, the election will be held in Punjab on May 14.
He said that the Election Commission is not bound by this decision, this decision is against the Constitution.
The senior jurist said that it is neither in the constitution nor in the law that the Supreme Court should give the date of the election, this decision can be rejected not only by the cabinet but also by a common citizen.
